For all that's best in Cornish Food visit Truro Farmers' Market. Situated on Lemon Quay and open from 9am every Saturday and Wednesday the Farmers' Market showcases fantastic seasonal produce including organic fruit and vegetables, freshly landed fish and shellfish, bread, cakes and buns, prize winning pork, award winning duck, smoked meats, fish and cheeses. You will also find organic beef, lamb and mutton along with venison, veal and game when in season. Local asparagus makes an appearance come the end of May and June sees the start of the local strawberry season. The market can also boast some tasty take-away stalls including mussels cooked whilst you wait, and during the colder months hot soup is a welcome sight (and smell!) on the market. On Saturdays select local crafts people join the market. Truro's sister Market in Falmouth is held on Tuesdays on the Moor.
Truro Farmers' Market is open year round on Lemon Quay every Saturday and Wednesday from 9am.
