Truro Carnival 2008

Saturday September 20th

Truro’s Celebration of Music, Entertainment & Spectacle

?September 20th is the date for the 2008 Truro City Carnival and it is going to be even bigger and better than last year. Truro Carnival Committee is now working in association with the Totally Truro organisation and Debra Martin Events to produce a truly memorable event that will fill the City with music, workshops, colour and excitement.

The entertainment and attractions will come in all shapes and sizes with something for young and old alike and will be taking place at various locations throughout the City. One of the highlights of the day will be the Grand Procession which will leave Hendra Park at 6.00pm bringing glamour, colour and spectacle to the streets of Truro; this year completing a circle and ending up where it started at Hendra Park. The day will culminate in the evening with a magnificent finale on Lemon Quay including the now traditional firework display.

Everyone is welcome to come and watch or why not participate and enter a float or walking entry. For more details go to www.trurocitycarnival.com or visit the Truro Tourist Information Centre.

Support this year’s Carnival and help raise funds for local charities.

For more information email trurocarnival@yahoo.co.uk or telephone 07864 719 368.

If you would like to get involved then please see the Contact Us page for phone and email contact details and a downloadable application form.

Application forms are also available from the Tourist Information Office, Boscawen Street.
