The City Council carries out a number of functions in the City. Its largest department manages the award winning parks and gardens, the horticultural displays in the City centre, the public cemetery grounds and allotments. This department also manages the public conveniences, much of the City Centre street furniture and carries out road and pavement weeding in the wider City. There is also a community development function. This website provides information about the decisions and governance of the Council.
