TRURO City Council

Voluntary and Community Grants Scheme

Small amounts of money allocated by Truro City Council twice yearly to
support local organisations within the community, with emphasis placed on how the money would benefit Truro or Truro residents in general.

Please note that grants are only available to Truro based organisations.


Guidance Notes for Applicants

  1. Applications will only be considered if they can demonstrate that the grant aid will
    be of benefit to the community of Truro.
  2. In line with The Local Government Act 1976 grants will only be given to non-profit
    making organisations.
  3. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
  4. All grant applications must be accompanied by the latest set of annual accounts,
    failing this, a current statement of the organisation’s funds and balances.
  5. Grants will not be awarded restrospectively of any project.
  6. Grants will not be given for repair and maintenance.
  7. If the grant applied for is in excess of £1,000, a minimum of three competitive
    quotations for the project should be provided by the organisation.
  8. The money must be used up within two years of being awarded.
