8 tennis courts (2 floodlit), 2 football pitches and a grass cricket wicket.

RIVERSIDE LAWN TENNIS CLUB
Amongst the attractions of
Boscawen Park are it’s
tennis courts, arguably the finest tennis complex
in Cornwall. Beautiful scenery apart, the complex
comprises four acrylic and four all-weather courts,
all in fine condition. Two of the all-weather courts
are fitted with floodlights. All courts are available
to members of the public at reasonable prices at
all hours and it is not necessary to book except
for the floodlit courts.
Coaching is available if required. Details may
be obtained by telephoning Mr Eric Horton on 01872
552972 or from the notice board outside the Tennis
Pavilion.
Boscawen Park hosts the Riverside Lawn Tennis Club
which provides tennis facilities for young people
between five and seventeen years of age. The Club
meets every Saturday morning throughout the year
with three sessions held at 0900, 1000 and 1100
hours, providing coaching and competitive play
at all levels.
The Club has a ball machine and a speed measuring
meter. Guests are welcomed at all sessions.
Riverside Lawn Tennis Club also holds adult tennis
sessions on a friendly and informal basis on Monday
and Thursday mornings throughout the year, commencing
at 1000 hours, which are especially attractive
for players who do not have regular tennis partners
but want to play. Again, all are welcome to join
in the fun. Standards vary and charges are very
reasonable, covering good quality balls, court
use and coaching for beginners and improvers if
required.
Prior booking is not required, just turn up at
the courts.
Please see the notices displayed on the notice
board outside the Tennis Pavilion.
Racquets can usually be made available, there are
changing facilities within the Pavilion for all
organised tennis sessions.
Whilst there is little or no formality, all those
wishing to play tennis at Boscawen Park MUST wear
suitable tennis shoes in the interests of safety
and to avoid damage to the courts.
