We are delighted to announce that the 2012 Cornish Cricket Festival will feature the first ever international cricket match to be staged in Cornwall! It is a fantastic coup for the county to stage such a prestigious match, especially as the other venues for the five match series are Lords, Taunton and Wormsley (JP Getty's private ground in Buckinghamshire).

It will feature the current 50 over and Twenty 20 World Champions and current World number one side, England, against the current Twenty 20 runners up and World number two side, India.

England currently have three players in the World top 5 batsmen, with captain Charlotte Edwards, Sarah Taylor and Lydia Greenway. India however have the World number one batsman in Mithali Raj. Meanwhile in the bowling, England have two bowlers in the World top 5 with Katherine Brunt and Laura Marsh, whilst India again have the World number one bowler in Jhulan Goswami.
