The City Council carries out a number of functions in the City.
Its largest department manages the award winning parks and gardens, the horticultural displays in the City centre, the public cemetery grounds and allotments. This department also manages the public conveniences, much of the City Centre street furniture and road and pavement weeding in the wider City.
There is also a Community Development team that works closely with residents in the community and an Events Coordinator who works to develop events on Lemon Quay and around the city.
Truro Community Library is managed by Truro City Council. The library is now open to the public Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am - 4:00pm.
The library offers seven public computers and a printing, scanning and photocopying service. There is also a community garden to the rear of the building which the public can access during library hours.
